About

Amy

I write and do other things. I live in Baltimore.

Self- Proclaimed: Queen Of Inappropriate, Princess of Randomness, and the Duchess of the Non-Sequitur. By day, I am SharePoint developer for a large Management Consulting firm. By night, I am freelance writer, blogger, social media junkie, and stressed out single parent. I believe in seeing the humor in any situation and if no humor can be found, then a heavy dose of sarcasm will have to do. I blog at various places for various companies, but do not share links here.

Some of my former writing stomping grounds include my Washington Times Communities column 60 Second Attention Span, my personal blog, and at the Social Media Club as an editorial team member,

As for Social Media, I have worked with the Visit Baltimore team as a member of their Buzz Brigade, using social media and blogs to spread the word on how awesome Baltimore is, served on the board of the Social Media Club for the Baltimore area. In this capacity, I worked with some of the most influential media people in Baltimore and bring social media practitioners together in a productive setting.

Other creative pursuits have included being the creative force behind Blogger Body Calendar (2011) and running a boutique communications firm, Social Pollen – focusing on Blogger PR, content writing, and social media management. I have been quoted in both the Baltimore Business Journal and the Baltimore Sun regarding social media, plus two appearances on NPR’s Midday with Dan Rodricks talking about social media and twitter specifically.
